Classified School Employees Teacher Credentialing Program
Eligible applicants for the California Classified School Employee Teacher Credentialing Program (Classified Grant) are Local Education Agencies (LEAs) interested in securing grant funding to recruit classified school employees to participate in a program designed to support the completion of a bachelor's degree and a Commission-approved teacher preparation program, and to provide instructional service as fully credentialed teachers.
Computer Science Supplementary Authorization Incentive Grant
Eligible applicants for the Computer Science Supplementary Authorization Incentive Grant are Local Education Agencies (LEAs) interested in supporting credentialed teachers in adding a Computer Science Supplementary Authorization to their Single Subject or Multiple Subject Credential. Single subject teachers whose existing credential already allows them to teach computer science courses are eligible for a Computer Science Supplementary Authorization.
Diverse Education Leaders Pipeline Initiative (DELPI)
Eligible applicants for the Diverse Education Leaders Pipeline Initiative Grant are eligible Local Education Agencies (LEAs) interested in securing grant funding to support eligible participants to pursue a Preliminary Administrative Services Credential.
Dyslexia Grants for Preparation Programs
Eligible applicants for the Dyslexia Grants to Preparation Programs are Commission-approved institutions of higher education (IHEs) or local education agencies (LEAs) with Commission-approved preliminary teacher preparation programs interested in updating program curriculum and course offerings to align with the common trunk Teacher Performance Expectation (TPEs), new Education Specialist TPEs, and include pedagogy on dyslexia for both general and special education programs.
Integrated Program Planning Grant
Eligible applicants for the Integrated Teacher Preparation Program Grants are any regionally accredited institution of higher education interested in securing grant funding to develop plans for the creation of one or more four-year integrated teacher preparation programs that lead to more credentialed teachers in identified shortage fields of special education, bilingual education, science, health, computer science, technology, engineering, mathematics, transitional kindergarten, or kindergarten and/or integrated programs that partner with a California Community College. Eligible applicants are not required to offer a Commission-approved subject matter program to apply for this grant.

Eligible applicants for the Integrated Teacher Preparation Program Implementation and Expansion Grants are any regionally accredited institution of higher education interested in securing grant funding to create, implement, or expand a four-year integrated teacher preparation program that leads to more credentialed teachers in identified shortage fields of special education, bilingual education, science, health, computer science, technology, engineering, mathematics, transitional kindergarten, or kindergarten and/or integrated programs that establishes a new partnership with a California Community College. Eligible applicants are not required to offer a Commission-approved subject matter program to apply for this grant.
Reading and Literacy Supplementary Authorization Incentive Grant
Eligible applicants for the Reading and Literacy Supplementary Authorization Incentive Grant Program (Reading and Literacy Grant) are Local Education Agencies (LEAs) interested in securing grant funding to support credentialed teachers in adding a Reading and Literacy Added Authorization (RLAA) or a Reading and Literacy Leadership Specialist (RLLS) credential.
School Counselor Residency Capacity Grant
Eligible applicants for School Counselor Residency Capacity Grants are Local Education Agencies (LEAs), or a consortium of LEAs, partnering with one or more Commission-approved professional preparation programs offering preparation in school counseling by a regionally accredited institution of higher education (IHE) to create school counselor residency programs. Grant funding may be used to establish new school counselor residency programs that support local efforts to recruit, develop support systems for, provide outreach and communication strategies to, and retain a diverse school counseling workforce that reflects a local educational agency community’s diversity.
School Counselor Residency Implementation Grant
Eligible applicants for the School Counselor Residency Implementation Grant Program are eligible local education agencies (LEAs) currently working or planning to work in partnership with one or more Commission-approved pupil personnel services preparation programs specializing in school counseling within a regionally accredited institution of higher education (IHE) to establish school counselor residency programs that support local efforts to recruit, develop support systems for, provide outreach and communication strategies to, and retain a diverse school counseling workforce that reflects a local educational agency community’s diversity.
Statewide Residency Technical Assistance Center Grant
Eligible applicants for the Statewide Residency Technical Assistance Center Grant are local education agencies (LEAs) with experience expertly advising and supporting program leaders in
a large and widely diverse field in best practices, minimizing costs to program participants, developing sustainability plans, and disseminating information.

Teacher Residency Capacity Grant
Eligible applicants for Teacher Residency Capacity Grants are Local Education Agencies (LEAs), or a consortium of LEAs, that either have an existing partnership or are establishing a new partnership with one or more Commission-approved preparation programs within a regionally accredited Institution of Higher Education (IHE) to expand, strengthen, improve access to, or create teacher residency programs.
Teacher Residency Implementation and Expansion Grants
Eligible applicants for the Teacher Residency Implementation and Expansion Grants are Local Education Agencies (LEAs), or a consortium of LEAs, currently working or planning to work in partnership with one or more commission-approved preparation programs within a regionally accredited Institution of Higher Education (IHE) that operates, or is planning to operate, a teacher residency pathway for the proposed credential areas.
Teacher Residency Grants - Resident Stipend Increase Request Form
Senate Bill 114 amended the CA Education Code authorizing Teacher Residency Grant Programs. 2021 Grantees now have the opportunity to increase the amount allowable per resident to $40,000.
